MICHIGAN
PROTECTION AND ADVOCACY SERVICES, INC. (MPAS) |
MPAS is a non-profit corporation established
to protect the legal, civil and service rights of Michigan citizens with
disabilities. It is primarily funded by the federal government to implement
protection and advocacy systems for persons with developmental disabilities and
those who have been identified as mentally ill. It also provides legal services
and advocacy to persons with HIV infection and AIDS. MPAS serves prisoners who
meet its eligibility criteria.
